The RR features a twin-turbo 6.0-liter V8 engine and is expected to have a top speed of 270 mph (435 km/h), as well as being capable of speeding to 60 mph from a standing start in just 2.8 seconds.
A new American startup company is targeting Bugatti and Koenigsegg buyers with a 2,000-horsepower Nemesis RR hypercar, due to arrive in 2016.
Trion actually plans to offer several versions of the Nemesis ranging from an electric Nemesis E with 1,000 hp, all the way to the aforementioned 2,000-horsepower Nemesis RR. The RR features a twin-turbo 6.0-liter V8 engine and is expected to have a top speed of 270 mph (435 km/h), as well as being capable of speeding to 60 mph from a standing start in just 2.8 seconds.
Underpinning the Nemesis supercars is a carbon fiber chassis and a pushrod-based suspension system. The car also uses active aerodynamics to improve its handling capabilities.
All-wheel drive and an eight-speed sequential manual transmission are standard.
Inside, the Nemesis offers a digital dashboard and internet connectivity. The displays provide access to configure the Nemesis powertrain as well as a few predefined operating options. The "Predator Mode" will modify interior illumination, height, suspension, exhaust and rev limits. Triton says the rear trunk was "specifically developed" to accommodate golf clubs or luggage to be more functional for daily use.
The company behind the hypercar expects the first concept car to be built in February 2015, by California-based company N2A Motors. After more development, they plan on building a run of 50 "regular" Nemesis cars plus a special run of 6 "Black Ops" versions, starting in 2016.
